It's not American football, its not soccer and it's not rugby.
Immediately following the Highland Games on our Athletic Field, the Mason-Dixon GAA will be demonstrating Gaelic Football.
No other sport offers you the thrill of soccer, the tactics of rugby and the skill of basketball!!

One hundred thousand welcomes to Maryland's Scottish Event! Enjoy bagpipes, Scottish and Irish dancing, shopping, traditional food and afternoon tea. Watch kilted, professional Highland athletes compete for victory - tossing trees and throwing heavy weights. Enjoy bagpipe music as you stroll through Vendor's Row featuring Celtic goods and delicious foods from across the pond and America as well. Free genealogy service will be available as well, with over 30 clans on hand to further assist and educate about your family's heritage and tartan.
Children will enjoy making crafts and participating in a miniature version of the Highland games. The entertainment stages feature internationally known groups and performers that will play throughout the day. Bring the family and enjoy all things Celtic!
The Frederick Celtic Festival is held at the Urbana VFD Fairgrounds in Urbana, Maryland - 7 miles east of Frederick Maryland along Rt. 355 (3602 Urbana Pike) or the Urbana exit off 270. For directions use the directions button on the left.
